Winners of our fifth quiz night – since the event was brought in by the entertainment committee last year – were And The Winners Are with 73 points. The World Champions came second with 65 points and Rooney Swears were third with 63 points.

Our entertainment committee members are Sarah Whitfield, Linda Woods, Kerry Woods, David Hughes and John Major.
Once a month, on the first Monday evening of the month, you can come and enjoy modern Jazz in the club hall.The evenings are arranged by the Mick Collins Modern Jazz Orchestra.
The Monday sessions last from 8.30pm to 10.45pm and the entrance charge is £6.
The band has four trumpets, five saxes, piano, bass and drums.
It plays the music of Horace Silver, Thad Jones, Bill Holman and Thelonious Monk, and of talented British composers including Kenny Wheeler and Ray Manderson.
