Membership

Bromley Labour Club warmly welcomes new members.
But because of national legislation on clubs, we cannot
sign you up on the spot. You have to have a proposer and
seconder and be approved at a committee meeting.
Both proposers and seconders have to be club members. You do not have to come along to the committee meeting – unless you really want to.

Just go to our Contact Us page to get the phone numbers to ask for a membership form or call in at the club. You have to be aged 18 or over to join. The annual cost is £10 and membership runs for the calendar year. You'll more than recuperate the £10 in the lower price of beer and spirits we charge in contrast to most pubs.

While waiting for membership (the committee meets once a month), club members will sign you in – the cost is 50p a time. Again we have to meet the requirements of the law for clubs, so we have to sign you in while you are awaiting membership.

Once we've admitted you, then you'll get an electronic security fob to get in at our entrance (on the Waitrose side of the building). Again, sorry about the security but it is what the law requires. Otherwise we would have to have someone permanently on the gate to admit you.

We are also a member of the National Union of Labour and Socialist Clubs so you are assured of a welcome in these clubs across the country. Our administrator Dave MacMillian can give you a card which will entitle you to entry and costs £2 yearly.
